My Divorce Does Not Define Me

The story of A.H., Former Client

When I was going through my divorce, I was driven by fear and uncertainty. I was overwhelmed and needed someone to help me remain grounded, keep perspective, and not just give up. Giving up was tempting at times, but doing so would have made moving forward impossible not just for me, but for my daughter.

Divorce is time-consuming and mentally draining. I was emotionally beaten down and lacked self-confidence. Pam was a sounding board for me, allowing me to work through the emotional challenges of the process and remain present for my daughter who needed my support. Seeing my daughter through the change was my main goal throughout the entire ordeal.

Pam’s own experience with divorce showed me that I wasn’t alone. With her perspective and guidance, I was able to see that, even though things were hard at the time, they wouldn’t always be. I have regained my identity, I feel more confident, and I am focused on my daughter. Pam helped me see the light on the other side and attain it without allowing my divorce to define me.

I couldn’t have done this alone. I needed a village and Pam was a critical part of that team that helped me get to where I am now: at peace. Her helpful presence along with validating encouragement helped me take the big steps I needed to. I’d recommend talking to her if you’re seeking to create a better life for yourself after divorce.
